High Cholesterol Foods
Eat healthy to live longer. There are many types of unhealthy food that we all love so much to eat so much. The negative part is that the better the food taste, the higher the chance that they're high cholesterol foods. Where high cholesterol is caused by a diet high in fatty foods, it can be lowered by altering your diet.
Sometimes the only way to reduce high cholesterol means changing our eating habits and avoid the food we like the most. When I say avoid I actually mean reduce. You can still enjoy your favorite food from time to time but you really should lower the intake (eat less) or balance that particular meal with more healthy food. Make a list for yourself and follow that list close.
High cholesterol foods contain following and should be avoided:
- Saturated fat, fat founds mostly in animal products
- Cholesterol, comes from animals as well
Saturated fat raises LDL cholesterol level more than anything else in the diet. Eating too much of it causes high cholesterol levels and high rates of heart attack.
This is a list of foods that will help you create a good low-fat diet, avoid high cholesterol and reduce the risk for heart disease.

Other foods to avoid:
Shellfish, organ meats such as liver, brain, heart, kidneys, sweetbreads, snacks and lunch meats that are high in saturated fats, fried foods and desserts that are high in fats.
Tip: Lowering your fat intake include removing the fat from meats before cooking them, using egg whites instead of whole eggs, substituting applesauce for oil when baking, and using skim milk and other low fat dairy products. A diet high in fresh fruits, grains, vegetables, and beans is important to good health. Read the labels on the products you buy sometimes that's enough to prevent you from buying them.
